Barbara Mertz, yazar mahlasıyla Elizabeth Peters (1927-2013), Mısırbilim alanında doktora sahibi, ABD’li yazar. 1975-2006 arasında yazdığı 20 kitaplık Amelia Peabody serisi ile tanınır.
Ülkemizde seriden ilk 5 kitap ile son kitap yayınlanmıştır. Kronolojik olarak, 1884 ilâ Tutankhamon’un mezarının açıldığı son kitap ile 1923 yılına uzanır.
